Are you a proficient and committed Clinical Laboratory Technologist seeking a rewarding full-time opportunity? Yoakum Community Hospital is in search of an enthusiastic professional to become part of our team on a 7on/7off schedule.
In your role as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will be instrumental in conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses that are vital for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
At Yoakum Community Hospital, you will engage with a varied patient demographic, encompassing infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
Your key responsibilities will include confirming patient identities, performing routine venipunctures to collect blood samples, and executing both quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses of bodily fluids such as blood, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid.
Moreover, you will interpret test outcomes, conduct blood grouping and compatibility assessments, and promptly inform the nursing unit of any critical value results.
As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will also oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, carry out routine preventive maintenance, and document any necessary repairs or upkeep.
We prioritize ongoing education and encourage our team members to participate in monthly continuing education activities to remain informed about the latest advancements in the field.
To excel in this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from an accredited institution.
While one to two years of relevant experience and/or training is preferred, candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience are also welcome to apply.
Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or a similar organization is mandatory.Your meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively are crucial for this role.

Requirements:
