Job Overview

At Lehr Auto, we're seeking a skilled Automotive Installation Technician to join our team. As an Emergency Vehicle Upfitter, you'll play a crucial role in transforming new factory stock vehicles into highly specialized emergency vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Removal of factory interior and exterior equipment and parts
  • Installation of specialized parts, including Lightbars, Red and Blue lights, Push Bumpers, Sirens, Controllers, Speakers, Partitions, Window Bars, Prisoner seats, Gun racks, Car Video, Computers, License Plate Recognition, and more
  • Carefully tracking inventory and work orders
  • Participating in shop clean-up and safety duties
  • Ensuring tools and inventory are kept neat and orderly

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, hand drills, etc.
  • Physical fitness with exceptional manual and physical dexterity to work in, under, and around vehicles
  • Basic knowledge or previous experience of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles (12V system)
  • Ability to work independently while in a team environment
  • Desire to learn a new trade and be part of a positive working culture and team
  • Attention to detail
  • Pre-Employment Background Check
