Job Title: General Service Technician

At Car-X Tire & Auto, we're seeking a skilled General Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you'll be responsible for performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance services to ensure our guests receive exceptional 5-star service.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic vehicle services and repairs in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct tire services, including wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair.
  • Provide vehicle services, including lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance (e.g., bulb, wiper blade, and filter replacements), battery testing, and installations.
  • Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process on every guest vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating additional needed services and repairs.
  • Assist with inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
  • Perform general store duties to ensure the store is in excellent condition and maintained to Monro standards for cleanliness and guest readiness.
  • Perform services in accordance with Monro's safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
  • Test drive vehicles in accordance with Monro's Road Test policy, utilizing dedicated test drive routes while observing local traffic and safety laws.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, governmental standards, and ANSI/OSHA standards.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and capabilities through timely completion of Monro University training courses and modules.
  • Operate, utilize, and maintain all equipment in a safe manner in accordance with Monro and equipment manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Automotive training, including basic car maintenance and repair, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
  • Ability to own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro's tool purchase program.
