We are seeking a visionary Machine Learning Director to drive innovation and growth at Flagship Ventures. As a leader in the field of machine learning, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to advance our AI research and development efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, with expertise in deep learning architectures, cloud-computing development environments, and data generation strategies. Experience in working with cross-functional teams, including experimental platform builders, is highly desirable.

You will lead a team of machine learning scientists and engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their success and growth within the organization. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences will be essential in driving collaboration and achieving business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to advance AI research and development efforts
  • Lead a team of machine learning scientists and engineers
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in machine learning, statistics, computer science, mathematical modeling, or related fields
  • More than 10 years of experience in machine learning leadership in the life sciences industry or academia
  • Expertise in deep learning architectures, cloud-computing development environments, and data generation strategies
