Research Scientist in Bioinformatics and Machine Learning

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our laboratory at Harvard University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences. As a postdoctoral fellow, you will contribute to cutting-edge research in spatial and temporal aspects of interaction patterns in biological systems using machine learning and computational biology techniques.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in computer science, physics, bioinformatics, or a related field, with a strong background in machine learning and/or computational biology. Previous research experience related to biology is an advantage but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct original research in spatial and temporal aspects of interaction patterns in biological systems using machine learning and computational biology techniques.
- Analyze single cell sequencing data to study cellular interactions in tissues.
- Develop and apply novel machine learning algorithms to model local interactions between dynamic entities and their emergent complex behavior.
Requirements:
- PhD in computer science, physics, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Strong background in machine learning and/or computational biology.
- Previous research experience related to biology is an advantage but not required.
