Key Responsibilities:
- Develop structural and bridge construction documents for state and municipal bridges, walls, culverts, and other transportation structures.
- Oversee design production, including task delegation and supervision of junior engineering personnel.
- Conduct engineering calculations to support the creation of detailed plans and construction documents.
- Follow quality control and assurance protocols.
- Communicate effectively and coordinate with other design team members.
- Occasionally perform site visits for data collection related to bridge projects.
- Execute Load Ratings on state and municipal bridges and other structures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- PE license in Oregon or Washington (or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire).
- Five to ten years of experience in structural engineering.
- Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Proficient in MIDAS Civil, AASHTOWare BrR, and/or Csi Bridge.
- Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, Guide Specifications for LFRD Seismic Bridge Design, Oregon DOT BDM, and WSDOT BDM.
- Preferred experience in mentoring junior engineers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
