Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at The Perillo Group in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and residential design, analysis, and detailing of structural systems, as well as excellent project management and client relation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and department managers to perform delegated design tasks.
  • Work closely with drafters to delegate drafting items and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and complete structural design calculations, providing recommendations and detailed specifications for proposed solutions.
  • Coordinate with clients to meet project needs, ensuring seamless communication and delivery of high-quality drawings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification preferred.
  • Construction or practical experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
  • Wood design or construction experience essential.
  • Proven track record of developing designs and drawings for proposed structures.
  • Excellent time management and independent work skills.
