Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled EKG Technician to join our dedicated team at ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital. This role is crucial in providing exceptional care within our Heart Care Unit.

Certification Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: National/Certified Tele Tech (Please note that EKG certifications alone are not sufficient for this position).
Job Details
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Weekly Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours
  • Shift Details: 12-hour day shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of current inpatient acute hospital experience is required.
  • Charting Experience: Proficiency in EPIC charting is necessary.
Schedule Information
  • Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Duty: Participation in holiday rotation is expected.
Unit Specific Information
  • Unit Details: Heart Care Unit (including bed size, case type, and patient ratio).
Additional Responsibilities
  • This position is exclusively for Tele Techs working day shifts.
  • Floating Requirement: Candidates may be required to float to different units and facilities based on patient census.
  • Effective communication of patient information based on observation and data collection to the Registered Nurse is essential.
  • Perform duties in accordance with hospital policies and department-specific procedures.
