Job Summary
Epic Special Education Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will work with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, providing critical support to ensure their academic success and social integration.
Responsibilities
- Provide sign language interpretation services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families through sign language and other means
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and technologies
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements
- 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within the last 3 years
- Valid Sign Language Interpreter credential/license or in process in state of practice
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills
