We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Amcor. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for industrial automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design electrical control systems for industrial automation equipment, including 480V and below systems.
- Project Management: Develop, manage, and support capital projects, including conducting Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Engineering Support: Provide engineering support and troubleshooting to the plant when machine breakdown issues cannot be solved by maintenance.
- Collaboration and Communication: Interface with people, departments, and/or companies to ensure that equipment is safe, made on schedule and to specification.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate on Continuous Improvement projects and lead teams as requested.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering field.
- Experience: 3-6 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Skills: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing verbiage, process, tools, etc., understanding of business processes and process improvement, exceptional analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Travel: Ability to travel approximately up to 10% of the time to support plants.
- Availability: Ability to support onsite 24 hours on call schedule during project go lives.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrates growing knowledge of engineering standards and shows ability to apply concepts and theories to resolve increasingly complex issues.
- Project Management: Begins acting as project or team leader with increasing ownership of projects.
- Decision Making and Analysis: Examines information from internal/external sources and makes informed decisions.
- Communication: Has an understanding of what information is relevant and tailors communication appropriately.
- Leadership: Approaches challenging tasks with a 'can-do' attitude and willingness to take an independent position.
