As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a crucial role in providing fully integrated solutions for preventative maintenance and repair, as well as upgrading existing mechanical, electrical, and controls systems to meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Actively gather and disseminate market intelligence for each estimating job by engaging with buyers, end-users, vendors, and other sources of information.
- Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and requirements to formulate quotation strategies.
- Collaborate with the Estimating, Engineering, and Sales Departments to analyze customer requirements and develop winning strategies for every quotation.
- Identify optimal cost and availability of materials within customer-approved supplier lists and prepare material and labor estimates for quotations.
- Utilize estimating documentation and electronic programs to prepare bills of material and labor estimates for all quotations.
- Complete all documentation on time and in an organized manner consistent with company policies and management directives.
- Mechanical Engineering degree or HVAC experience.
- 4+ years' experience in estimation, with a focus on NAVFAC or federally funded projects.
- Broad understanding of mechanical systems, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, primary and secondary piping, HVAC ductwork, RTU, AHU, and VAVs.
- Experience with tooling, machining, fabrication, or construction environments and industries.
- Fluency with Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Strong technical writing skills and ability to read and interpret drawings and/or construction plans.
- Strong negotiating and organizational skills, with the ability to perform detailed work in a timely manner and manage orders throughout the manufacturing process.

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $100,000 per year
