Job Title: Digital Content Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Content Manager to join our team at the City of New York. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the creation, improvement, and strategic distribution of content across our diverse portfolio of internal businesses and for our B2B consulting clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style, and layout.
  • Create and publish engaging content across various channels (websites, blogs, social media, etc.).
  • Edit, proofread, and enhance writers' posts to ensure brand consistency.
  • Liaise with content writers to ensure brand consistency and optimize content for search engine visibility (SEO).
  • Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics.
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms.
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure timely and effective content delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements (e.g., copyright and data protection).
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and generate new ideas to engage the audience.
Requirements and Skills:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Content Manager or similar role.
  • 1+ years of editorial or copywriting experience.
  • 2+ years in a supervisor role.
  • Proven track record of managing content across multiple platforms including web, social, email, etc.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and web traffic metrics.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, or a relevant field (preferred).
Additional Information:

The schedule is full-time, 9am - 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
