Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough physical exams and assess patient health status
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses
Provide surgical assistance in the operating room and monitor therapies
Triages patient calls, evaluates patient problems, and responds to emergencies
Counsels patients and families on preventive health care and documents patient information in medical records
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited PA/NP program
Four years of healthcare experience prior to applying to PA/NP program, plus two years of experience as PA/NP, preferably in PMR clinic setting
National certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs and state PA/NP license
Current CPR certificate
