Job Summary

Under the direction of the Manager, Operations, performs various administrative and clerical duties to support RTA Operations and Administrative staff, including office administration, correspondence and activities supporting the Operations Dispatch function, including responding to customer inquiries via various methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Answer high-paced inquiries about RTA services, including customized travel/trip plans for fixed route riders, real time bus arrival/departure information, logging requests for demand response service, and other Dispatch supporting tasks.
  • Administrative Support: Perform clerical or technical administrative duties, including assisting the Lead Supervisor with development of biweekly payroll submittals for the operations department.
  • Communication: Compose various statistical reports, correspondence and documents, and relieve department head of routine administrative tasks such as compiling statistical information.
  • Office Management: Maintain a wide variety of office equipment, assist Administrative Assistant, Administration staff to maintain/update eligibility list for various passes and pass discounts, and assist with ADA Paratransit application intake and scheduling process.
  • Financial Management: Assist Accounting Technician with preparing fare revenue for armored vehicle collection, record customer comments, and assist with marketing, outreach and other activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: AA Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in office administration, general administration, or customer relations in a public or nonprofit organization or entity for a minimum of three years.
  • Skills and Abilities: Understanding of basic office administration, understanding of office equipment and technology, familiarity with public transportation service, including how to read and explain schedules and fares, preferred.
