Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Heavy Duty Truck Operator to join our team at Superior Duct Fabrication, Inc. This is a full-time position with an estimated annual salary of $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport and deliver duct work and sheet metal products using heavy-duty trucks.
  • Document working hours, vehicle service, and repair status accurately, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Collect payments for services rendered and verify load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Position trucks for loading and unloading while ensuring proper positioning of vehicles and equipment.
  • Safely secure cargo for transport using available equipment.
  • Notify management of any vehicle issues, accidents, or damage.
  • Couple or uncouple trailers efficiently.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions and routes.
  • Document weights at weigh stations before and after loading and along routes.
  • Utilize truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones for communication.
  • Inspect trailers after unloading to prevent damage.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks and inspect goods to determine quantities and conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in truck driving or related fields.
  • A valid Class C driver's license.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job.
  • Strong work ethic.
