Heavy Duty Truck Operator

Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Heavy Duty Truck Operator to join our team at Superior Duct Fabrication, Inc. This is a full-time position with an estimated annual salary of $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Transport and deliver duct work and sheet metal products using heavy-duty trucks.
- Document working hours, vehicle service, and repair status accurately, adhering to state and federal regulations.
- Collect payments for services rendered and verify load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Position trucks for loading and unloading while ensuring proper positioning of vehicles and equipment.
- Safely secure cargo for transport using available equipment.
- Notify management of any vehicle issues, accidents, or damage.
- Couple or uncouple trailers efficiently.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions and routes.
- Document weights at weigh stations before and after loading and along routes.
- Utilize truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones for communication.
- Inspect trailers after unloading to prevent damage.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and inspect goods to determine quantities and conditions.
Qualifications:
- Experience in truck driving or related fields.
- A valid Class C driver's license.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job.
- Strong work ethic.
