About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at Carnaval Brazilian Grill. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all Back of House operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and oversee the production and preparation of food in accordance with established recipes and procedures.
  • Enforce compliance with all employment policies and maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Direct productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times.
  • Manage the performance of Back of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline.
  • Conduct formal line Taste & Temp checks to ensure inventory and safety in the kitchen.
  • Oversee the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items.
  • Manage food costs, track waste, and control kitchen labor costs.
  • Direct work for kitchen employees, including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks.
  • Train Back of House staff on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures.
  • Review applications, interview, and hire or make recommendations for Back of House employees.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer service management.
  • Extensive food knowledge.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software.
  • Experience in event planning.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
  • Good financial management skills.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Culinary school diploma or BS degree in Business Administration.
