Job Title: Airport Rescue Firefighting Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Airport Rescue Firefighting Instructor to join our team at Fox Valley Technical College. As an Airport Rescue Firefighting Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Airport Rescue Firefighting program.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Mentoring: Develop and deliver high-quality instruction to students in our Airport Rescue Firefighting program, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on training.
• Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and update curriculum to ensure it is relevant, effective, and aligned with industry standards.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and implement assessments and evaluations to measure student learning and program effectiveness.
• Student Support: Provide academic support and guidance to students, including advising, mentoring, and tutoring.
• Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments and best practices, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and mentoring skills.

Requirements:

• Education: Master's degree in a related field, such as Fire Science, Emergency Management, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Airport Rescue Firefighting, including experience as a firefighter, instructor, or in a related field.
• Certifications: Airport Firefighter and Driver/Operator ARFF Certification, State of Wisconsin Emergency Services Instructor Certification.
• Skills: Strong teaching and mentoring skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment.
