Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and direct the activities of nursing and support personnel in the Electrophysiology Lab
- Coordinate unit/area clinical operations with other department disciplines
- Plan, direct, and control staffing assignments to ensure effective coverage of the department
- Oversee the work schedule for the appropriate areas as needed
- Interview and make recommendations for personnel decisions, including promotions, transfers, and terminations
- Participate in unit activities and operations, including meetings with physicians and other departments
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards of care and observe the condition of facilities to identify and address potential problems
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse with current state licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact required upon hire
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
- 1+ year of supervisory/leadership experience
- 3+ years of EP lab experience required
Heart Hospital of Austin is a 58-bed hospital and one of the highest performing cardiovascular facilities in the nation. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease and feature a comprehensive 24-hour emergency department. Our six operating rooms, including three hybrid ORs, serve the city of Austin, and we have three catheterization labs and electrophysiology services.
