Electrophysiology Nurse Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrophysiology Nurse Manager to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a key member of our cardiovascular care team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Electrophysiology Lab, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct the activities of nursing and support personnel in the Electrophysiology Lab
  • Coordinate unit/area clinical operations with other department disciplines
  • Plan, direct, and control staffing assignments to ensure effective coverage of the department
  • Oversee the work schedule for the appropriate areas as needed
  • Interview and make recommendations for personnel decisions, including promotions, transfers, and terminations
  • Participate in unit activities and operations, including meetings with physicians and other departments
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards of care and observe the condition of facilities to identify and address potential problems
Requirements:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse with current state licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact required upon hire
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • 1+ year of supervisory/leadership experience
  • 3+ years of EP lab experience required
