The company is an established parent company of multiple holding companies, primarily operating in production and distribution, pipeline, and underground storage businesses.

Job Description

We are looking for an individual who can assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, record and track assets, perform income statement variance analysis, and reconcile general ledger accounts. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for a portion of brine production accounting invoicing and adhere to deadlines established on the monthly close calendar.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing process
  • Record and track assets including additions, transfers, and disposals, and generate asset roll-forward schedules
  • Perform income statement variance analysis
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform bank reconciliations
  • Responsible for a portion of brine production accounting invoicing
  • Adhere to deadlines established on monthly close calendar
  • Participate in audits and provide necessary support to comply with requests for information
  • Assist with development of processes to streamline accounting processes
  • Respond to upper management requests and questions regarding accounting-related practices and processes

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • SAP ERP experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience in industry

Benefits and Salary

This position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer benefits such as base salary, benefits, pension, 401K, and discretionary bonus.

  • This position cannot provide relocation assistance, applicants must be based in Houston, TX
  • Hybrid schedule, 3 days in the office
