Job Description

At SWRI, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the conformity of products and services with specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and Support SwRI Listings: Oversee the management and support of SwRI Listings, SwRI Listed products, and the SwRI Directory of Listed products.
  • Third-Party Follow-up Inspection Programs: Manage and support Third-party Follow-up Inspection Programs, which assist manufacturers in obtaining product certifications, evaluation reports, type approvals, and more.
  • Product Design and Conformity: Examine product design, product, service, process, or plant, and determine conformity with specific requirements.
  • Assessment Conformity: Use professional judgment or general requirements to determine assessment conformity.
  • Accreditation Support: Support Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17020, 17025, and 9001.
  • Compliance Audit: Participate in compliance accreditation audits to ISO/IEC.
  • Quality and Engineering Issues: Assist with quality and engineering issues related to existing projects.
  • Follow-Up Procedure Documents: Maintain Follow-Up Procedure (FUP) Documents containing critical information about the product that, if changed, could affect its performance.
  • Inspections and Sample Surveillances: Conduct inspections and sample surveillances, domestic and international, in support of existing projects.
  • Third-Party Inspector Interaction: Effectively interact with Third-party Inspectors (20+) and provide training as required by the applicable FUP Document.
  • Ongoing Project Maintenance: Assist in the ongoing maintenance of existing projects.
  • Document Control and Record Control: Document control, record control, basic document revisions, inspection report reviews, sample handling, client communication, and more.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Process Engineering, Quality Management Systems, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Applied Science, or related fields.
  • Experience: 0-5 years of experience, with proficiency in Office Suite. 0-2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Driver's License: A valid/clear driver's license is required.
