Job Summary

This role is responsible for enrolling and completing the Paragon training program, a 15-week virtual learning experience that educates students on the fundamentals of bathing and grooming, safety, pet first aid and CPR, pet handling skills, dog anatomy, and dog physiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enroll and complete the Paragon training program within the required timeline of five weeks.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of pet behavior, body language, and handling techniques.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for pet owners and their animals.
  • Assist in generating business by scheduling appointments, making follow-up phone calls, and verifying vaccinations.
  • Maintain accurate records of pet clients, including services provided and vaccination records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work with dogs and cats, demonstrating patience and compassion.
  • Must provide own tools (clippers, blades, shears) or be willing to purchase required tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and customers.
  • Ability to lift and move animals, equipment, and merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels. Exposure to sharp grooming instruments, perfumed shampoos and soaps, pets, and pet waste is expected. Ability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
