Kennel Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team at Indian Hills Animal Clinic. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and attention to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their stay with us.

• Provide top-notch care for patients, including feeding, exercise, and cleaning of cages and kennels.
• Accurately record patient information, including feeding schedules, appearance, and behavior.
• Observe patients for signs of illness, disease, or discontent, and report any concerns to veterinary staff.
• Assist with the administration of medications, under the supervision of veterinarians or technicians.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks, including laundry and disinfection of equipment and facilities.
• Assist with bathing and grooming services, as needed.

• Previous experience working with animals in a kennel setting, preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 40 pounds, with assistance for heavier loads.
• Practice OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
• Computer skills, including MS Office applications.
