Position Overview:
Cleveland Road Animal Hospital is expanding and is in search of a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to become a vital part of our dedicated team.
About Us:
We are a 6-doctor AAHA accredited facility committed to delivering exceptional, compassionate, and accessible care for our animal patients. Our practice values the bonds between humans and animals, treating our clients and their pets as part of our extended family. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including wellness check-ups, surgical procedures, radiology, laser treatments, an in-house laboratory, and boarding services. Our mission is to provide the most advanced veterinary diagnostics and treatments in a nurturing environment, emphasizing personalized care for each patient.
Work Schedule:
We provide a full-time schedule but are also open to part-time candidates. Our operational hours are staggered, running from 7 am to 5 pm, 8 am to 6 pm, or 9 am to 7 pm, with some weekend shifts required. On-call rotations and Saturday work are also part of the schedule.
Compensation:
Hourly wage ranges from $22 to $25, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will:
- Deliver high-quality patient care alongside a team of medical professionals.
- Exhibit proficiency in various skills, including laboratory work, pharmacy, radiology, surgical assistance, and dental care.
- Accurately document all relevant medical, client, and case information in patient records.
- Review medical records and discharge instructions with clients, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Manage appointment scheduling, payment processing, and client check-ins.
- Participate in cleaning and equipment maintenance as directed.
- Foster a workplace culture that values critical thinking, problem-solving, engagement, inclusion, and diversity.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of technician experience or 2-3 years of veterinary assistant experience is required.
- Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (RVT) is preferred.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds independently, and more with assistance.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with potential exposure to various animals and medical conditions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
