Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, your duties will encompass a variety of essential tasks, including:
- Animal restraint and triage of incoming patients
- Collection and analysis of laboratory samples
- Diagnostic imaging and management of medical cases
- Administration of medications and effective communication of treatment plans to clients
- Surgical preparation and assistance, along with anesthetic management
It is important to be prepared for exposure to various odors and sounds, as well as potential risks associated with animal care.

We are seeking candidates who possess:
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Reliability and punctuality
- RVT certification with a minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
- Availability to work on Saturdays
- Exceptional customer service skills and precise communication abilities
- Proficiency in interpreting medical records and accurately documenting client histories
- Knowledge of preventative care, surgical protocols, and clinic operations
- Ability to safely and effectively restrain animals
- Experience in sample collection, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin samples
- Skills in laboratory sample processing and testing
- Competence in radiographic positioning and capturing images
- Experience in anesthesia and surgical monitoring
- A proactive approach to learning and skill enhancement
- Ability to accept constructive feedback professionally
Working Conditions:
Candidates should be prepared for the following:
- Extended periods of sitting or standing while working at a computer
- Confidence around various animal species
- Potential for more than 40 hours of work per week based on client needs
- Special working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing various physical tasks
