Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Imaging Services Supervisor to join our team at Northwell Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the imaging operations and technologists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the imaging operations and technologists to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Promote departmental goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
  • Lead the activities of assigned Imaging Services team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
  • Supervise, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate the performance of staff; ensure performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize, schedule, assign, and monitor work to optimize operational performance; ensure adequate inventory of supplies.
  • Organize and guide staff toward service line/department goals.
  • Analyze, recommend, implement, and monitor approved work-flow changes.
  • Maintain staff credentials and continuing education credits.
  • Ensure staff adherence to Quality and Infection Control guidelines and equipment maintenance according to state and federal guidelines; also maintain related accreditation, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control standards within modality.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and ensure compliance to manufacturer specifications.
  • Schedule equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Participate in developing and delivering training related to modality.
  • Participate in evaluating and implementing Performance Improvement related practices.
  • Function as a technologist and respond to emergency calls, as necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Ultrasound Technology program, required.
  • Current Radiology Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in New York State required, and current ARRT registration required OR CNMT registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 3-5 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership experience, required.
Additional Information
