About the Role

The Assistant to the Associate Vice President of Racial Equity Initiatives plays a vital role in supporting the AVPREI in their daily activities, ensuring that all aspects of their role are organized and moving forward. This position requires someone who is highly organized, analytical, and able to thrive in an executive-level environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule meetings and provide meeting management support, including preparing meeting minutes and ordering food and beverage as needed.
  • Provide administrative coordination and support for specialized initiatives, as assigned.
  • Reconcile expense reports on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with reviews of various grants that have been awarded to the Community Foundation, understanding what costs are allowable for coding expenses and spending decisions.
  • Reviews emails and triages them per established process, and voicemails.

Job Requirements:

  • Two-year degree required; four-year degree preferred or equivalent career experience, or combination of degree and work experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience working with and supporting busy organizational leaders.
  • Advanced proficiency of computer skills, including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Planner, MS Forms, internet searches, virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet), and webinars.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in an organized and flexible fashion.
  • Problem solver.
  • Strong aptitude for new technologies and utilizing systems that promote efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Effective at administrative management.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Benefits and Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $56,000 to $61,000 per year, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
