Responsibilities
  • Compounding IV Medications:
  • Measuring and mixing medications, sterile solutions, and additives according to established protocols and guidelines.

  • Labeling and Packaging:
  • Properly labeling and packaging the compounded IV medications, ensuring all necessary information, such as patient name, medication name, dosage, and expiration date, is clearly indicated.

  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of IV medications, quantities, lot numbers accuracy, supplies, and equipment.

  • Quality Control:
  • Adhering to quality control standards and procedures to ensure the accuracy, sterility, and safety of compounded IV medications.

  • Cleanroom Certification:
  • Participating in the certification procedure every 6 months.

  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
  • Accurately documenting all activities related to the compounding and dispensing of IV medications.

Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills:
  • Verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.

  • Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills:
  • You should be able to effectively interact with colleagues and patients.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software is required.

  • Clear Pharmacy Technician License:
  • A valid license is mandatory for this position.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $25-$32 hourly (DOE), depending on experience. As a valued member of our team, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401k program.
