Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Sunny View Manor, a retirement community offering fine dining experiences. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking meals for residents and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Follow highest standards of cleanliness and adhere to federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines in preparation and handling of foodstuffs.
  • Attend all mandatory in-service meetings and comply with department and facilities policies and procedures.
  • Understand facility's fire and disaster plans and follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
Credentials
  • ServSafe or Equivalent Certification required.
Education
  • High School diploma or GED required.
