Job Summary:

The Banquet Set-up and Service Associate is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquet events at Sonesta International Hotels. This role involves setting up and breaking down banquet rooms, performing side work as assigned, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set-up and Breakdown: Set up and break down banquet rooms according to guest specifications, including cleaning of rooms and setting up equipment and break stations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Equipment Handling: Handle equipment with care, maintaining a clean storage area and ensuring all equipment is in good repair.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the Banquet Manager, Banquet Captains/Supervisors, and other team members to ensure the successful execution of events.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other work-related duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
  • Physical Demands: Ability to push/pull carts weighing approximately 100 pounds, lift and move approximately 100 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, climb, and reach.
  • Ability to Stand and Walk: Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate and control heavy equipment.
