The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist - Supply Chain position is a critical role within Harbor Freight Tools, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment. This position comprises three main areas of focus: Compliance, Leadership, and Training.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular inspections and generate health and safety assessment reports to identify potential risks and hazards.
- Ensure compliance with occupational guidelines and regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Train employees on safety policies and practices, and coach them on appropriate safe behaviors.
- Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and optimization of environmental, safety, and health policies and procedures.
- Chair the Distribution Center Safety Committees and work with local emergency response groups and regulatory agencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred in a safety-related field.
- 3+ years of experience in environmental, health, and/or safety, with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and other regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Competitive salary range: $67,800 - $101,700 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
- Annual discretionary bonus.

- Accrual of paid time off up to 236 hours per year, including PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays.
