Dunbar Patient Transport Corporation is a leading provider of accessible transportation services, seeking a qualified Wheelchair Van and Student Transportation Driver. This role involves providing safe and reliable transportation to children and elderly individuals, while maintaining high safety standards and engaging with clients in a friendly and courteous manner.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license with a school V endorsement, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a drug test. You should be able to remain calm in stressful situations and possess excellent communication skills. If you are a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with children and elderly individuals, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
• Drive a Mini Van or Sedan safely and efficiently
• Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle
• Conduct regular vehicle safety inspections and report any maintenance or repair issues promptly
• Maintain and add fluids to vehicles as needed
• Fuel, sweep, and clean the vehicle daily
• Engage with clients in a friendly and courteous manner
Qualifications
• Valid driver's license with school V endorsement
• Clean driving record with no recent accidents or traffic citations
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Ability to stand, bend, sit, and push wheelchair passengers into and out of the van
Salary Range
$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
