Position Overview

Dietz Property Group is seeking a dedicated full-time Assistant Community Director to support the management of a residential multifamily property.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Assistant Community Director, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of resident accounts, executing month-end closing processes, and generating month-end financial reports. Additionally, you will oversee the collection, processing, and documentation of monthly charges and other income streams.

KEY DUTIES: The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Organizing and maintaining the property’s filing system
  • Delivering high-quality and professional service to residents
  • Preparing necessary re-certification and lease renewal documentation while assisting in the organization of resident social activities
  • Ensuring the office and community areas are well-maintained
  • Executing marketing initiatives and coordinating the monthly property newsletter

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to effectively perform the essential functions of this role. Regular communication and listening are required. The position involves standing, sitting, and walking, with frequent lifting or moving of items up to 20 pounds.

WORKING HOURS: This is a full-time position with hours that may vary based on property needs, typically following a Monday to Friday schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Leasing Consultant, including at least 1 year in a supervisory leasing role
  • Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with residents
  • Organizational skills necessary for maintaining a professional office environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Word, Excel, Windows, Internet, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Real Page, MRI, Yardi, etc.)
  • Attention to detail for accurate financial record-keeping
  • A commitment to exceptional customer service, adaptability, results-driven mindset, and a positive attitude
