As a Crisis Clinician-Admissions Specialist, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with the Admissions Office and Emergency Department to assess and evaluate patients seeking psychiatric/behavioral healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately assess patients requiring evaluation at the Princeton House Admissions Office and the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro Emergency Department.
- Demonstrate competency in assessing children, adolescents, and adults.
- Work with managed care companies to determine the level of care needed by providing a clear and concise clinical picture.
- Perform telephone assessments and schedule routine evaluations at the Admissions Office.
- Complete verification of benefits and patient registrations at the Admissions Office or the Emergency Department when required.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a mental health discipline or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of post-master experience in an inpatient or crisis setting.
- Ability to work independently and assist junior staff with consultation and support.
