Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients seeking psychiatric/behavioral healthcare in a managed care environment.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions Office and Emergency Department to determine the appropriate level of care required.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention plans to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Work with managed care companies to determine the level of care needed and provide a clear clinical picture.
  • Perform telephone assessments and schedule routine evaluations at the Admissions Office.
  • Verify patient benefits and registrations as required.
  • Coordinate involuntary commitments and facilitate patient transfers to Princeton House or other facilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict standards of patient care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a mental health discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of post-master experience in an inpatient or crisis setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities.
