Job Title: Medical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to support patient care.

Job Summary:

The Medical Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, coagulation, and clinical chemistry. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, coagulation, and clinical chemistry
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to resolve test-related issues
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advances in laboratory technology and techniques
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
  • Certification/registration as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
  • Experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in blood banking or coagulation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
