We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to join our well-established Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at SSM Health Dean Medical Group in Madison, WI.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the operating room, including endoscopic and open vein and radial artery harvesting
- Provide patient care on the Cardiothoracic Surgery in-patient unit
- Participate in night call on weeknights and weekends for floor patients and the operating room
- Rarely provide outpatient clinic care
- Varying hours between 7am-5pm, 5 days a week with rotating weekend hours
- Anticipated 1:5 call schedule
- Primary responsibilities include inpatient and OR duties
- SSM Health Cardiothoracic Surgery is one of the largest heart surgery programs in WI
- Opportunity to work independently alongside cardiothoracic surgeons
