Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Field Technician to repair, inspect, and maintain primarily CAT heavy construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment repair, excellent diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain heavy construction equipment, including engines, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues using CAT ET and SIS
- Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years' experience working on CAT heavy equipment products
- Ability to diagnose and perform repairs using CAT ET and SIS
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a professional attitude
- Welding experience an asset
- Field service experience will be given preference
- Successful candidate must have their own tools with a valid driver's license in good standing
- Ability to work weekends for an on-call schedule
