Job Title: Shop Equipment Trainee
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shop Equipment Trainee to join our team at Equipment Depot. As a Shop Equipment Trainee, you will assist experienced shop technicians with basic day-to-day inspections and make-ready of rental equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with make-ready of rental equipment
- Steam clean equipment
- Service rental equipment
- Install attachments
- Perform basic repairs under the supervision of senior technician
- Attend weekly Lift Truck fundamentals classes
- Complete online safety training
- Learn to assess equipment damage and help generate service repair quote
- Learn to fill out all shop inspection paperwork, work orders & time cards
- Fulfill and file paperwork for warranty repairs
- Organize storage of rental equipment
- Clean and maintain lot & dock areas
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3-6 months of related mechanical experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Valid driver's license
Work Environment: Work environment varies from office to job site to industrial locations.
