Job Summary:

The Baker II - Pastry Specialist assists the lead Baker in managing the production of baked goods and pastries for the hotel's buffet line. This role requires a strong understanding of baking procedures, execution methods, and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead Baker in preparing and producing baked goods and pastries for the buffet line.
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofers.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or pastry production environment.
  • Knowledge of baking procedures, execution methods, and product knowledge.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull moderate amounts of weight.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
