Job Summary:

The Line Production Operative & Quality Inspector role at FactoryFix is a critical position that ensures the efficiency of our assembly line or production process and the impeccable quality of our products. This combined position encompasses a wide array of responsibilities crucial for the seamless operation of the production line and the maintenance of high-quality standards. Key tasks include assembling goods, operating machinery, monitoring the production process for any discrepancies against build specifications and processes, enforcing strict quality control measures, packaging products, and undertaking basic machinery maintenance as needed.

In addition to these duties, the Line Production Operative & Quality Inspector is responsible for the meticulous inspection of all incoming components, partial assemblies, and finished products. This role demands the generation of detailed reports on the quality of individual work orders and purchase orders, alongside the production of weekly, quarterly, and annual quality reports. The position also requires assembling products as dictated by company needs, embodying a hands-on commitment to sustaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, enhance, and implement new and existing quality control processes to monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Create documentation for various quality assurance and production processes to improve consistency and quality in all aspects of the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Analyze data and metrics to track quality performance and identify trends or patterns that may impact product quality.
  • Inspect workpieces visually and with specified measuring instruments for conformance to specifications and record measurements on QA and work order documents.
  • Report production-related problems or concerns to the Production Director, and assist with troubleshooting issues and performing maintenance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the quality assurance team and across the organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on quality assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Assemble and package subassemblies and top-level products.
  • Operate and maintain various machines.
  • Prioritize safety and the safety of coworkers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Education and Experience:
  • Associates Degree or higher is required.
  • Experience with measuring devices such as calipers, pin gauges, and other measuring instruments.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience writing reports, creating forms, and documenting various processes.
  • Provable experience working with different computer software such as Google Workspace, Google Sheets, and GMail.
  • References: Professional and Character.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
