Aircraft Engine Quality Inspector Job Description

At StandardAero, we're committed to excellence and innovation in the aerospace industry. As an Aircraft Engine Quality Inspector, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor processes and develop improvements to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues through cooperative methods.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company instructions and policies.
  • Ensure compliance to quality procedures affecting the production process.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes.
  • Research, compile, and review company procedures.
  • Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and non-conformance documents.
  • Report necessary information and offer solutions to production, materials, and the company to correct specification or process problems.
  • Monitor warranty procedures, including investigation, root-cause, corrective action, and follow-up.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
Requirements:
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of company instructions, company processes, quality, and original equipment manufacturer manuals.
  • Knowledgeable in assembly methods and techniques used.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledgeable in quality requirements relating to the production process.
  • Thorough knowledge of Foreign Certification requirements and other regulatory bodies.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9000 quality system requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of AS9110, SABER, Cost of Poor Quality, Corrective Action Request, internal audit policies, and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and production management computer systems.
  • College diploma in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent.
  • Experience as an inspector in an aerospace environment.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
