Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to lead our construction projects from bid acceptance to final acceptance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the construction effort to ensure projects are completed in accordance with design specifications, budget, and schedule.
  • Interface with clients, B&I departments, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to field employees to ensure projects are completed expeditiously.
  • Conduct project meetings to ensure planning, communication, and successful execution of project scopes.
  • Establish job cost breakdowns and schedules to ensure positive cash flow and timely submission of project billings.
  • Coordinate the completion and review of submittal data, operation and maintenance manuals, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Manage subcontractor scopes and provide technical assistance for all project-related scopes.
  • Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and timely issuance of change orders.
  • Conduct weekly on-site visits to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance.
  • Monitor project costs and forecast future project costs monthly.
  • Distribute, follow up, and respond to punch list items in a timely manner.
  • Update project meeting minutes and provide project status reports.

Requirements:

  • Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combination of previous construction and/or engineering experience.
  • Minimum of four years' experience in project management of commercial mechanical and plumbing construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, methods, financials, engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety.
