Commercial Construction Estimator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for working on several potential projects valued between $5M-200M, providing leadership, guidance, and expertise in defining, implementing, and monitoring department estimating resources, guidelines, best practices, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with a team and senior management to grow the business in line with the firm's strategic direction.
  • Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of submissions.
  • Establish team assignments and identifies estimating review dates.
  • Oversee and support several projects from an operational, financial, and resource standpoint.
  • Negotiate bids on new build projects.
  • Review subcontractor proposals and level out the subcontractor proposals.
  • Create subcontractor bid scopes of work.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and square foot analysis and present in an organized manner.
Requirements
  • 7 years of directly related experience, preferably in the commercial/residential construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of different construction methods, planning, scheduling, and sequencing.
  • Strong management skills and ability to lead and motivate team members.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other departments and agencies.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and judge when to involve others.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to problem solve and generate innovative solutions.
  • Efficient in Procore, MS Office, spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail applications.
