This position is located in the Nutrition Services Department of the Indian Health Service. The purpose of the position is to plan and implement a comprehensive nutrition and dietetic program for patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing nutrition plans, conducting nutritional assessments, and providing medical nutrition therapy to individuals and nutrition education to groups.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement nutrition plans for patients with diabetes and other health conditions
- Conduct nutritional assessments and develop care plans with patients and their families
- Provide medical nutrition therapy to individuals and nutrition education to groups
- Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of nutrition programs
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in dietetics, food, nutrition, or a related field
- Professional registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- At least 1 year of experience in a nutrition-related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
This position is located in a healthcare setting and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team to provide comprehensive patient care.
