Our clients, ranging from blue-chip international corporations to mid-sized manufacturers, are the reason for our existence. Our teams of innovators, communicators, and managers are dedicated to meeting their needs, building trust, and surpassing expectations.

The Role

We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to join our state-of-the-art food production facility. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be instrumental in leading a team of quality assurance technicians and overseeing daily quality assurance operations to ensure adherence to industry standards. Your responsibilities will include managing quality control procedures, implementing standard operating protocols, and fostering a collaborative and professional team atmosphere.

Your Profile

You are eager to leverage your expertise in quality standards and procedures within food or beverage manufacturing to make a significant impact. You are driven by the chance to enhance standards and elevate quality, with the independence to effect change. You desire to work for an organization where your input is valued and where you can advance your career in quality assurance and beyond.

What We Offer

Influence and Autonomy. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our status as a leading manufacturer of complex food ingredients and products for globally recognized brands. You will have the opportunity to expand the team and implement best practices, working closely with QA and Plant Managers as well as our COO.

Impact. You will contribute to fostering a culture that views quality as a shared responsibility. You will have the chance to develop new procedures, train personnel, and ensure compliance.

Career Advancement. You will collaborate with a team that values innovation and cooperation, appreciating diverse perspectives and engaging in constructive discussions to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Whether you aspire to advance within quality assurance or transition to another area of operations, your professional growth will be supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily QA operations. You will engage directly with our production team, ensuring adherence to processes and standards, and collaborate with external service providers. You will coordinate with the central quality team to collect, package, and dispatch samples for customer requests, and oversee specific testing as needed. You will ensure that all raw materials meet specifications before entering production and conduct inspections to maintain product quality.
  • Lead the QA team. You will oversee team management, including approving time cards and scheduling technicians for adequate shift coverage. You will assign, supervise, and guide the QA team's work, providing onboarding and ongoing training across all shifts, sharing knowledge on standards, and ensuring the adoption of new procedures.
  • Maintain and enhance quality standards. You will conduct tests and internal audits throughout the production process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will confirm that all production processes adhere to internal and external standards, implementing corrective actions for any discrepancies. You will create, update, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance in quality assurance practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience. You are an established QA Supervisor with direct experience in food manufacturing. You possess knowledge of food safety regulations and have completed HACCP and GFSI training. Familiarity with FDA, BRC, and other relevant audits and regulations is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills. You remain composed under pressure, making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. You have a proven track record of leading and managing a team, including scheduling and providing training and development opportunities.
  • Integrity and Accountability. You possess a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving and time management. You can work closely with managers and production staff to identify areas for improvement and develop effective SOPs.
  • Technical Proficiency. You have a solid understanding of quality assurance processes in food manufacturing, including experience with pest control and specific testing protocols.
