About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial Services Manager to support our Property Management Team at SOME (So Others Might Eat). The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the facilities within our portfolio, creating a comfortable and dignified living environment for the residents we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure facilities are safe and presentable by following maintenance checklists.
  • Provide regular cleaning of all common areas, bathrooms, lounges, kitchens, etc.
  • Maintain building exterior through regular cleaning and ground maintenance.
  • Coordinate daily trash collections, empties trash containers, and manages bulk or regular pick-up.
  • Coordinate quarterly deep cleanings.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning, maintenance, and building supplies.
  • Provide training on cleaning techniques, as needed.
  • Provide snow and ice removal from walkways.
Requirements
  • Some High School Education or GED.
  • 1+ years janitorial experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Experience providing services to low-income populations, families, and seniors.
  • CPR/First Aid, AED.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others effectively.
  • Ability to set professional boundaries.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to read and write as well as to communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Advanced knowledge of OSHA compliance standards.
  • Organized with attention to details and ability to work independently.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task despite competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to train and engage with staff effectively.
