We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Mohs Technician to join our team at Platinum Dermatology Partners. As a Medical Assistant/Mohs Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatology team.
Key Responsibilities- Escort patients to and from exam rooms, assist with preparation for exams, and ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Enter medical histories and prescriptions into our electronic medical record system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures, providing support and ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
- Perform extractions, injections, and other patient procedures as needed, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Collect and process lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments as required.
- Educate patients on medical instructions, respond to questions, and provide support as needed.
- Organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office, with prior dermatology experience preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or Dermatology Technician is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of medical dermatology terms, CPT, and ICD-10 coding.
- Able to prioritize tasks, understand provider instructions, and seek guidance when needed.
This position is based in a well-lit medical office environment, with occasional evening and weekend work. You will be working with a dynamic team, and we offer a competitive compensation package and opportunities for growth and development.
