  • Ensures all visitors complete the required entries in the visitor register and verifies the accuracy of the information.
  • Determines the nature of the visits and contacts the appropriate individual or department to arrange for an escort.
  • Issues and collects visitor badges, ensuring all visitors display an authorized badge while in the facility.
  • Verifies that all employees display an authorized badge as they enter the facility.
  • Operates the Front Desk telephone to respond to guests and callers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Types and performs standard clerical work, such as data entry and record-keeping.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as needed to support the team.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly sits, talks, hears, grasps, touches, stands, walks, reaches with hands/arms, and performs repetitive wrist, hand, and/or finger movements.
  • Sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force.
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less, 20 feet or more, ability to identify and distinguish colors, and ability to see up and down or right or left while fixed on a point.
  • Normal attention to distribute mail, schedule conference rooms, and maintain security door/logbooks.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Basic math skills and intermediate language, writing, and reading skills.

Work Environment:

  • Modest noise level (computers, printers, etc.).
  • Indoor temperature-controlled office environment.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma plus some additional college-level coursework preferred.
  • Experience in greeting the public in a high-traffic, highly visible position.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment.
