Westfield State University is seeking a highly qualified Field Education Director to lead our Social Work Department's Field Education Program. As a key member of our department, you will oversee all educational and administrative aspects of our Field Education Program for both BSW and MSW Programs at Westfield, and the fully online MSW Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Administration and Management: Oversee all educational and administrative aspects of the Social Work Department's Field Education Program.
  • Staffing/Supervision: Oversee all supervisory functions within the Field Education Program, including hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of employees and graduate/undergraduate work study students.
  • Accreditation Standards Management and Reporting: Oversee all aspects of the assessment plan for field-based social work competencies and spearhead field-related initiatives to develop, retrieve, record, and report data on outcomes of field education.
  • Community Partner Engagement: Develop, oversee, and maintain community partnerships and field practicum sites.
  • Field Supervisor and Faculty Liaison Training: Oversee the development and implementation of training for field supervisors and faculty liaisons.
  • Grant Related Duties: Oversee the development and maintenance of community partnerships and integrated behavioral health field practicum sites.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree and license in Social Work.
  • Five years post-MSW degree experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience related to social work education is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and technology skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous field placement coordination experience.
  • Strong skills in mediation and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of area social service agencies.
  • Experience in program development and management.
