Patrol Officer

Baystate Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patrol Officer - Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and employees.

1. Patrol and Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of hospital buildings and grounds to identify and address potential security risks and hazards.
2. Access Control: Enforce access control policies and procedures to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to restricted areas.
3. Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, such as fires, medical emergencies, and security breaches, and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and employees, and respond to their concerns and needs in a professional and courteous manner.
5. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit accurate and detailed reports of incidents, accidents, and security breaches, and maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
6. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments, such as nursing, administration, and facilities, to ensure a safe and secure environment for all individuals.

• Education: Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field, such as security, law enforcement, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-6 months of experience in a security-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certifications: Possession of a valid driver's license and any other certifications required by the state or local authorities.
